KickCash, a Gurugram-based startup, has surpassed $1 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in India and is now planning to expand to developed markets.
KickCash is a mobile advertising platform that seeks to help game developers find new users. When a player spends time with a mobile game or participates in an in-game event, the platform rewards the player with real cash. The cash is paid directly to the player’s KickCash wallet, which can be withdrawn directly, providing additional value and engagement in the gaming experience.
For now, the app is only available on Android. KickCash describes itself as a “frequent flyer program for mobile gamers”, where players are rewarded with real money for playing games. This approach has helped the platform grow quickly in India.
KickCash utilizes a three-sided business model that benefits everyone:
- Players earn real rewards for their time and effort.
- Game developers only pay for real user engagement, which can assist them in receiving improved return on marketing spend.
- KickCash earns revenue based on the performance of the campaigns.
The company has reported successful results from campaigns on the KickCash platform for developers, including a 52% increase in Day-30 return on ad spend (ROAS) and a 24% improvement in Day-21 user retention, compared to traditional user acquisition.
Some of the world’s major gaming studios such as Playtika, Potato Play, Felicity Games and TripleDot Studios are working with KickCash. The company states that it has created a fraud-proof and privacy-safe platform, which is a priority these days with so much concern over user privacy and ad fraud.
Having validated its model in India’s competitive market, KickCash is now looking to expand into mature markets that don’t have similar reward systems. This could help propel the business forward because anyone who develops help will receive rewards at a much better rate while users will have smoother access to reward withdrawals.
“Crossing the $1 million ARR threshold is an inflection point – one that positions us for the next phase of scale,” said Co-founder Pratyush Nishantkar, hinting at larger ambitions.
KickCash’s simple idea to reward players with real money, while assisting game developers in finding valuable engaged users, will continue to generate momentum. With a focus on performance, trust and user satisfaction, the company wishes to make its mark on markets globally as it transitions into the next phase of its development.
