
Pune-based GK Energy Limited has secured an order worth Rs 235.92 crore from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to design, manufacture, supply, install, test and commission 10,000 off-grid DC solar-powered water pumping systems (SPWPS) across Maharashtra under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana, according to a press release.
The pumping systems, ranging across 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP capacities, are meant to support solar-powered agricultural irrigation for farmers in the state.
The company said on Monday that the project will be executed within 60 days of the issuance of the work order or notice to proceed.
Order tally with MSEDCL crosses Rs 637 crore
With this contract, GK Energy has now secured cumulative orders worth Rs 637.83 crore, inclusive of GST, from MSEDCL.

GK Energy, formerly known as GK Energy Private Limited and GK Energy Marketers Private Limited, was founded in 2008 and describes itself as one of India’s largest decentralised renewable energy infrastructure companies.
The company has cumulatively installed over 140,000 renewable energy systems and commissioned more than 617 MW of capacity across 7,500-plus villages till March 2026, spanning solar-powered agricultural pumping, rooftop solar and distributed clean energy segments.

Shares of GK Energy were trading at Rs 144.60 on the NSE around 1:31 pm on July 6, up 3.55% from the previous close of Rs 139.64.
