Quess Corp Limited announced on June 23, 2026, that its wholly owned subsidiary Quess International Services Private Limited (QISPL) has entered into a strategic collaboration with Japan-based Institution for a Global Society (IGS) and Singapore-based Indo-Pacific Advisory (IPA) to establish an India-Japan Global Capability Center (GCC) corridor, according to a press release.
Deal targets AI, cybersecurity and engineering talent
The initiative is designed to help Japanese enterprises set up GCCs in India across sectors including artificial intelligence, engineering, cybersecurity, BFSI and digital transformation, the release said. QISPL is not a material subsidiary of the company, Quess clarified in its regulatory filing with the BSE and NSE.

The partnership comes against the backdrop of Japan’s commitment to invest 5 trillion yen in India by 2027, reinforced by a 2025 bilateral agreement targeting 10 trillion yen in private investment over a decade, per the release. India currently hosts over 2,000 Global Capability Centers, positioning it as the world’s leading GCC destination, though the ecosystem has traditionally been anchored by US and European firms rather than Japanese companies.
Executives cite talent shortage in Japan
“Through this collaboration, we are establishing a structured Indo–Japan GCC corridor that enables Japanese companies to build and scale operations in India, while creating meaningful, high-skilled employment opportunities for Indian professionals,” said Lohit Bhatia, Executive Director and Group CEO, Quess Corp.
Masahiro Fukuhara, Founder and CEO of IGS, said, “Japanese companies find themselves at a crossroads, a shortage of the advanced talent needed to execute corporate strategy, compounded by a shrinking and aging workforce.” He added that India’s population of around 430 million people under the age of 18 made it “a natural strategic complement.”
Nihal Chauhan, Founder of IPA, said the alliance was built to give “Japanese firms a credible, lower-risk pathway into India’s talent and innovation ecosystem.”
Quess Corp had a workforce of approximately 4,79,000 employees across 8 countries serving over 2,200 clients, the release said.
