GHV Infra Projects just announced it’s gotten a Rs 109 crore order. The work is in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, and the client is GHV (India) Private Limited. It’s basically a construction job where the company will handle all the building work including concrete, electrical systems, plumbing, and finishing touches. They have about two and a half years to complete it.
What the Company Will Do
This isn’t just a small construction gig. The scope includes everything from laying foundations to installing all the mechanical and electrical equipment to making sure the plumbing works properly and getting all the aesthetic finishes done. It’s the kind of comprehensive package that most developers want when they hire a construction company. Jamshedpur has been seeing a lot of building activity lately, so there’s clearly demand for construction services in that region.
The Ownership Connection Thing
Here’s where it gets a bit interesting. The guy who’s a promoter of GHV Infra, Jahidmohmed H. Vijapura, also has money invested in the client company. So technically, it’s a deal between related parties. But the company says they’ve handled it properly. They’ve priced it at market rates, not given themselves any special treatment. It’s all above board according to their statement. Companies have to be careful about this sort of thing because regulators don’t like it when companies make sweetheart deals with connected parties.
How Well Is the Company Doing
The company’s been making good money lately. Last quarter, they made a lot more profit than they did the year before. Their sales hit around Rs 183.77 crore in that same period. So this new contract is coming at a good time when the company is already doing well and winning plenty of work. When the news came out, the stock price went up. That’s what usually happens when investors hear about a company getting a big new order. It shows people think the company is going places.
Other Big Wins This Year
This Rs 109 crore job isn’t the first big win for GHV Infra this year. They got a Rs 2645 crore contract in the UAE for building a manufacturing facility. And they landed a Rs 2000 crore project in Mumbai for police housing. So the company’s been getting a lot of work lately, both here and overseas. That tells you they’re competitive and good at winning bids. It also means they’ve got a lot of work lined up, which is good news for business stability.
