Speaking truth from the heart is a very daring skill these days. And to be able to connect this mindset with ethics and honesty at work shares a different class in itself. It is a privilege and a blessing to be able to understand the natural and pure flow of a process. And to be able to integrate oneself with the natural order of things is a people’s entrepreneur. Business Outreach’s editorial collaborates with Pakhi Dixit to showcase how her communication and leadership seamlessly bridge gaps across vital sectors such as healthcare, fashion, and sustainability.

There has never been a more urgent time to grow as a civilization from a cross-disciplinary perspective. Pakhi Dixit has been very vocal in sharing her two cents in how her work at the intersection of genomics and translational science is bridging experts and industries. As a healthcare marketer and social media manager, Pakhi Dixit’s definition of leadership is exploring into questions that others might have not deciphered in the first place. She vividly points out her first genomics paper, where information was incorporated under the burden of complex scientific terms, something which the end-users might find challenging in understanding the crux of any prognosis. Pakhi Dixit untangled the jargon and made the data accessible for families desperate for answers and communities looking towards clarity.
Pakhi Dixit has scaled her career learning from the life lessons of her father, Rajesh Kumar Dixit. Her father was a wonderful artist and built years of sentimental and holistic connection with woodworking and the magnificence of wood grains. She remembers him in her thoughts and prayer even to this very day. As if, he is always present as a guide, as bright as the North Star. While working simultaneously with ZARA and as the leading in-house media communicator at the Genomes2People Research Program, Harvard, Pakhi have uniquely blended these poles-apart industries. Pakhi is a beacon of sustainability and she gets that from her family business in woodworking. She raised about half a million dollars for genomics research through fashion partnerships and aims to fight rising global challenges of climate concern, fast fashion and healthcare inequality. Pakhi has seen it all, from exchanging discussions in a room of scientists to galactically shifting to communicating with creative experts.
Over her distinguished career, Pakhi Dixit worked with BabySeq on a project on genomic sequencing in newborn care, working with teams at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, lead the social media strategy for the International Consortium on Newborn Sequencing (ICoNS) for three consecutive years (2022–2024), including two years while based internationally, served as Global Communications Officer for LABLACO, a Web3 company at the forefront of circular fashion and blockchain-integrated commerce and the ink might run dry. Pakhi is currently a member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (UK), The Chartered Institute of Journalists (UK) and The Overseas Press Club of America. She studied Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge and is currently pursuing a PGDM in Sustainable Marketing through Oxford College of Marketing, in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). Pakhi Dixit fascinates us by concluding saying, “Opportunities don’t always knock twice—if the door’s even slightly open, step in, even if you’re not sure what’s on the other side.”
